The Archbishop of Canterbury has given a sermon at Lourdes, saying the Roman Catholic pilgrimage site can inspire people to spread the Christian faith.
Dr Rowan Williams told an international Mass at the shrine in France to pray for "the overshadowing strength of the Spirit to carry Jesus wherever we go".
He is among a group of Anglican representatives taking part in 150th anniversary celebrations at the shrine.
A peasant girl said she saw apparitions of the Virgin Mary there in 1858.

I have also an university-patterned knowledge of the French language.
I am also a journalist who has been working for local newspaper (“Gazzetta di Parma”) since 1992 and for local TV station since 1995 (“Tv Parma”).
I am still working with them and I work as collaborator for RTA-VIDEOTARO as journalist
I am officially enrolled in the Italian Journalists' Association since March the 31th, 1995 and I am specialised in Politics and Public Administration.
I was born in Parma the 30th of June 1969.
